Sandy Wells
Chief Development Officer
An influential and prominent champion of family care solutions, Sandy has spent her career partnering with forward-thinking organizations to solve the needs of working families. As a single mother in Dallas struggling to balance her roles as a management consultant and mother, Sandy turned down Partner at a top consulting firm to develop a child care center in order to solve her family caregiving challenge. Over the next 7 years she grew her startup company by developing multiple employer sponsored centers and then merged her company into Bright Horizons. Recognizing that millions of working parents face the same difficult career decisions, Sandy has dedicated her career to creating visionary solutions that help working families, and their employers, achieve their full potential.
Since joining Bright Horizons more than 30 years ago, Sandy has held numerous leadership roles spanning sales, consulting, marketing, and account management. She was named Chief Development Officer in January 2016, where she sets the vision and strategy for Bright Horizons’ employer partnerships that support family care needs at all life stages.
Prior to embarking on her child care journey, Sandy spent eight years as a Management Consultant with Deloitte and multiple years as a systems consultant with Hallmark Cards.
Sandy received her MBA from the University of Kansas and undergraduate in Mathematics from Marymount College. She is the proud parent of two children, three stepchildren, and grandmother to eight beautiful grandchildren.
