Sandy Wells

With over 35 years of work experience, Sandy is a seasoned leader in the field of education and care and has spent her career partnering with forward-thinking organizations to solve the needs of working families. 

As a single mother in Dallas struggling to balance her roles as a management consultant and mother, Sandy turned down Partner at a top consulting firm to develop a child care center in order to solve her family caregiving challenge. Over the next 7 years she grew her startup company by developing multiple employer sponsored centers and then merged her company into Bright Horizons. Recognizing that millions of working parents face the same difficult career decisions, Sandy has dedicated her career to creating visionary solutions that help working families, and their employers, achieve their full potential.

As the Chief Development Officer at Bright Horizons, she leads a team of professionals who are dedicated to creating high-quality child care, education, and work/life solutions for our clients and partners. She values collaboration and excellence, and strives to foster a culture of trust, respect, and learning in our organization. She is responsible for driving the strategic growth and development of Bright Horizons, including expanding our services and partnerships across our employer market. She leverages her skills in team building, organizational effectiveness, and strategy to identify and pursue new opportunities and has successfully collaborated on the launch of several new products and services. Her team has also established and maintained strong relationships with more than 1,450 leading employers across nearly every industry.

She received her MBA from the University of Kansas and undergraduate in Mathematics from Marymount College.
