Memorial Hermann Health System Enhances Education Assistance By Eliminating Out-Of-Pocket Costs for Employees
October 26, 2022 – To make continuing education more accessible, Memorial Hermann has launched Learn Well, a program that enables employees to pursue degrees, certificates, certifications and prerequisite courses with no out-of-pocket costs.
“The price of continuing education can be a major deterrent for those seeking to advance their education and ultimately their careers,” said Lori Knowles, chief human resources officer at Memorial Hermann. “With Learn Well, we’re not only offering employees tuition assistance, but we’re taking it a step further and by eliminating out-of-pocket costs, making it easier for them to pursue their education goals.”
While Memorial Hermann has offered tuition assistance and student loan repayment for many years, the enhanced Learn Well benefit offers increased financial support by providing direct payment to accredited schools for tuition and books. The program has grown in partnership with EdAssist by Bright Horizons®, a leading provider of workforce education solutions.
“Memorial Hermann continues to demonstrate its commitment to support its employees’ financial health and career growth through industry-leading programs likes its Learn Well benefit,” said Dr. Jill Buban, vice president and general manager of EdAssist by Bright Horizons®. “By offering reskilling and upskilling programs, student loan repayments and no-cost certifications, Memorial Hermann will increase its ability to attract and retain the best workers in the field by removing barriers and creating more access and opportunities for its workforce so it’s a win-win all around.”
In addition to benefits designed to advance employees’ education and careers, Memorial Hermann offers a wealth of attractive benefits to advance their physical, emotional and financial health, including but not limited to medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement plans, family caregiving support, adoption benefits, auto and home insurance, mental health resources, legal aid, paid time off and more.
“Memorial Hermann takes pride in offering employee benefits that are among the best in the industry and we continuously look for ways to enhance our offerings to meet the needs of our most valued asset – our employees,” added Knowles.
