A message from Bright Horizons CEO Dave Lissy...
Like you, I was deeply saddened to learn about the senseless, violent and cruel tragedy that took place in Orlando this weekend. No people, no family, no nation - no mother, father, son or daughter - should have to face terror or violence like this. This cowardly attack was a crime with a specific target and yet at the same time, it was a crime against all humanity. No individual and no community should have to face hate or judgement or intolerance because of who they love or how they live. Our hearts go out to all of the families who were impacted by this horrific event.
At Bright Horizons we stand together in support of the people of Orlando and LGBT communities everywhere. We stand united against violence and against hatred. We stand committed to growing generations of children who will know peace throughout their communities and around the world, who will love and respect all people, and who will celebrate their own individuality and that of all those around them with open arms. We teach children throughout Bright Horizons how to work Toward a Better World, and the meaning of that work is more important now than ever.
We extend our deepest sympathies to those who lost loved ones in Orlando, and we join together with all who are determined to make the world a better place.
