At Bright Horizons, we're all about work and families.
And nothing makes us happier than knowing those two things are in synch for our clients.
So it warmed our hearts to hear executives talk about their philosophy behind their new and beautiful 17-thousand-square-foot Bristol-Myers Squibb Child Development Center recently opened in Lawrence Township, New Jersey.
"We support employees by providing a safe learning environment for their young children," said Bristol-Myers Squibb CHRO Ann Powell Judge, "so that while they are working, they can focus their attention on the patients we serve. It's all about providing energizing work experiences."
And we at Bright Horizons know that caring for families does all of the above. Bristol-Myers Squibb's collective child care centers serve nearly 900 children. That's roughly 900 parents who know their children are safe, and so who can dedicate themselves fully to the serious business of saving lives.
"Our child development centers and other family-focused services provide our employees a work/life balance," Said Bristol-Myers Squibb's Johanna Mercier at the November 1 ribbon cutting,"that helps them to succeed both within the company and in their personal lives."
We couldn't agree more. And our hats are off to the global pharmaceutical company for an unwavering commitment to employees that includes a long list of family benefits.
Congratulations to the new Bristol-Myers Squibb center. And welcome to the family!

Delivering on the Mission
For a company like Bristol-Myers Squibb, focus is serious business. The global biopharmaceutical company makes its mission "to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases." That same mission page also states a firm commitment to patients as well as customers, employees, global communities, shareholders, environment and other stakeholders. And we at Bright Horizons know that caring for families does all of the above. Delivering for Patients, Delivering for Employees
It's also good for employees' long-lasting warm feelings about the company, as evidenced by the Bristol-Myers Squibb representative on hand to cut the ribbon - the company's head of U.S. commercial and lead executive at the Princeton Pike campus, whose children both attended company centers years before."Our child development centers and other family-focused services provide our employees a work/life balance," Said Bristol-Myers Squibb's Johanna Mercier at the November 1 ribbon cutting,"that helps them to succeed both within the company and in their personal lives."
