YouTube is known for its funny videos, but its really hard to find ones appropriate YouTube videos for kids. I typically don't let my kids access YouTube unless I am monitoring the content. They'll watch Pink Panther or Thomas the Tank Engine while waiting in restaurants, etc. The issue is that the recommendations that display alongside the videos are not always screened for children despite the appropriate content of the kid's video they are watching.
But I do love when we find some funny and appropriate videos for them to watch. Because of the five year age difference between my kids, we usually find a happy middle ground with videos featuring silly songs. Recently, Olivia and Owen spent the weekend with their Nona and discovered the "Duck Song" video. Not only was it the first thing we did when we got home, but they have been singing it for days. The laughter they both share over this video is priceless. So I set out to find others that were just as fun and just as appropriate for a 7 and 2 year old.
Here my picks for funny YouTube videos for kids to watch:
The Duck Song
Mahna Mahna (the Muppets)
Ode to Joy (the Muppets)
We love the Muppets!Minions Banana Song
Stompy the Bear
Lego Star Wars "U Can't Touch This"
