We're celebrating a new arrival!
Not the royal baby (though congrats, William and Kate)...the Campbell Family Center!
The newest Bright Horizons family member arrived April 26th at the company's Camden, New Jersey home, weighing in at 17,000-square feet, 13 classrooms, 9,200 square feet of playground, and room for 150 children.
Parents are elated. "My other working mom friends are so jealous of this benefit," said one happy Campbell's mom of the new child care center located at the company's Camden, New Jersey home, "that it's on site, and that it's right here for us."
"I know firsthand how challenging it can be to achieve work life integration as a parent," said Campbell's President and Chief Executive Officer Denise Morrison. "Providing onsite child care is one way we strive to make life easier for Campbell families."
Some other things the CEO had to say (with thanks to Gabrielle Saulsbery at NJ Biz):
Congratulations, Campbell - many happy years ahead.
And welcome to the family!

Campbell Family Center: Making Life Easier for Families
The center makes a fitting addition to a company with consumer products made for real, real life™."I know firsthand how challenging it can be to achieve work life integration as a parent," said Campbell's President and Chief Executive Officer Denise Morrison. "Providing onsite child care is one way we strive to make life easier for Campbell families."
Some other things the CEO had to say (with thanks to Gabrielle Saulsbery at NJ Biz):
On work/life balance:
"There's no such thing as that perfect equilibrium. I think it sets a false expectation. But anything that you can do to help people integrate work and life is important. I do believe that companies can look at ; and we have--things like on-site daycare benefit plans."On supporting families:
"We've changed our parental leave policy, not only for the primary caregiver but also secondary. We have adoption assistance. We have assistance for medical needs, for parents of autistic kids. There are a number of different programs that I think employers can bring to their employees as benefits based on the need."On why the onsite child care center matters:
"I know how busy working families are and for them to have an opportunity to send their kids to a safe place [on campus]. Then they can focus on their work. It's the best of both. The company wins, and the employee wins."Congratulations, Campbell - many happy years ahead.
And welcome to the family!
