This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to observe, explore, and describe their environment to gain understanding of people, places, and things.
Materials Needed:
- Neighborhood Walk Bingo Sheet (attached printable PDF)
- Marker
Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction.
Directions:
- Keeping all current safety guidelines in mind, take a walk around your backyard or neighborhood to see if you can find the items listed on the bingo sheet.
- Make a mark with your marker. If you get 4 across or down, you get a bingo.
Extension: Make two copies of the bingo sheet, cut the squares out, and use them like a memory game (place the pictures upside down, turning over two at a time to try to make a match).
