This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to build tolerance of frustration and encourage persistence in building.
Materials Needed:
- Stacking cups or plastic cups of any shape or size
- Pictures of towers or buildings e.g. Eifel Tower
Participants: This activity is intended for independent play and can be adult/child interactions.
Directions:
- Gather cups to use.
- Have your child stack the cups into towers. When it falls down, encourage them to try again and start again.
- Show your child the pictures of towers that exist in the world and see if they can recreate the tower using their cups.
