Bright Horizons Partners with Talking Talent to Provide Return-to-Work Coaching for Parents
May 1, 2018 – Bright Horizons announced today a new partnership with Life Meets Work, a Talking Talent Company, to provide return to work coaching and resources for parents returning to work after the birth or adoption of a child or a prolonged child-related leave.
For more than 30 years, Bright Horizons has worked with employers across all industries to provide full-time child care and early education, back-up care and transitional care for employees who are just returning to work after having a baby. This new program with Talking Talent will complement Bright Horizons child care services and give employers another tool to help their employees successfully manage their work and home responsibilities.
According to the third annual Bright Horizons Modern Family Index survey, working parents who recently returned after parental leave found that that their views of work changed dramatically. Nearly half (49 percent) of new parents surveyed said they have taken a job for less money at a family-friendly employer and more than half (59 percent) said they are likely to switch jobs now that they’ve had their first child.
This new partnership will allow employers to help employees stay on their career path by supporting them as soon as they are starting to think about taking a parental leave. The program will help them through their leave and, most importantly, with the critical period of reintegration into the workforce.
The benefit incorporates all components required to make an employee’s return to work successful with resources and coaching for employees through a combination of webinars, small group meetings, an on-line learning portal, and an option for one-on-one meetings. The program also includes training and support for managers of employees taking a leave.
