Bright Horizons Named One of FORTUNE's "100 Best Companies to Work For" for 18th Time
February 14, 2019 – Bright Horizons has been named to FORTUNE’s 2019 list of "100 Best Companies to Work For." This is the 18th time the company has been recognized by Fortune as a "100 Best" company.
"While public recognition of our culture certainly makes me proud, what makes me prouder still is that this honor is a direct result of feedback from members of the Bright Horizons family," said Bright Horizons Chief Executive Officer Stephen Kramer. "We are a great company because our employees care about each other, believe in our mission and culture, and create inclusive workplaces that celebrate diversity. That is what makes Bright Horizons a great place to work for and to work with."
Bright Horizons operates approximately 1,100 early education centers and preschools, caring for approximately 120,000 children annually in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada and India. The company works with more than 1,100 of the world’s leading employers to support their employees with full service and back-up child care, elder care, tuition program management, education advising, and student loan repayment programs.
More than half of the employers on the FORTUNE list, including seven of the top 10, are Bright Horizons clients that provide their employees with work/life benefits to help manage their job and family responsibilities.
Bright Horizons was selected among hundreds of companies to be included on this year's list. Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a Great Place to Work For All™. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. Great Place to Work then analyzed these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in their industry and region.
