July 31, 2024 – Next week, Bright Horizons early education experts will attend The HeadStarter Network’s 2024 Early Childhood Innovation Summit in Salt Lake City, UT. The two-and-a-half-day event will gather leading experts from technology, academia, health, and early childhood education to explore innovative solutions for 21st-century challenges.

The Headstarter Network is a nonprofit network created to provide a nimble, interdisciplinary, and forward-looking engine for driving innovation in early childhood education. The Network seeks to apply best practices and innovations from technology, business, science, and academia to deliver new approaches and models to the field.

The summit speaking lineup will include Bright Horizons’ Chief Academic Officer Rachel Robertson. Robertson will be presenting a session on Facing and Embracing Change with Curiosity and Critical Thinking.

“Change is hard and messy and sometimes scary, but it is necessary if we want to make the dramatic changes we need to make in early childhood education,” said Robertson. “We must be willing to let go of how define and what it means to achieve as an early learner. Our practices should align with the science on how young children learn and their brain development.  It’s imperative that we place children’s outcomes, empowering families, and professionalizing the early childhood educator career ahead of our own comfort and familiarity.”

In addition to attending the summit, Bright Horizons is a sponsor and will have two informational tables at the opening reception as well as host a blanket making activity for the Bright Horizons Foundation Children.
