September 12, 2024 –  Bright Horizons, a leading global provider of high-quality early education and childcare, back-up care, and workforce education services, has been recognized as a 2024 CandE winner in the Global ERE Candidate Experience Benchmark Research and Awards Program.

The Candidate Experience (CandE) Benchmark Research and Awards Program is the first program of its kind focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experience. Also known as The CandEs, the program was founded by Talent Board in 2011 and is now part of ERE Media. The CandE Benchmark Research Program delivers annual recruiting and hiring industry benchmark research that highlights accountability, fairness and the business impact of candidate experience.

“At Bright Horizons, caring is embedded in our culture – both in the way we care for our community and the way we care for each other. It is incredibly important to us that every candidate experiences our culture of caring during our interview and hiring process,” said Melkeya McDuffie, Chief Human Resources Officer at Bright Horizons. “This recognition demonstrates the commitment of our talent acquisition team to deliver and ensure an excellent experience for every candidate.”

“From the their first interaction with our talent acquisition team to their first day meeting their new colleagues in one of our centers or offices, we focus on the candidate experience so they feel valued, welcomed, and excited to become part of our team,” said Stephanie Worley, Vice President, Talent Acquisition at Bright Horizons.

The ERE Candidate Experience (CandE) Benchmark Research and Awards Program is for employers hiring anywhere around the world (North American, EMEA, APAC, and Latin American). The CandE Benchmark Research and Awards Program are comprised of two primary steps: the employer self-assessment survey; and the candidate surveys. To be considered for an award, an employer must successfully complete both steps and meet all criteria. Employers that meet the criteria for both steps and have above average (benchmark) positive candidate ratings and CandE Scores, are awarded a CandE Award and a CandE Award Winner designation stamp.

CandE-winning companies are asked about their unique approach to improving the candidate experience through case study questions that will be used for our research reports, as well as to be considered for the new Most Innovative Candidate Experience Improvement Awards to be given away at this year’s ERE Recruiting and CandE Awards Conference, November 12-14, 2024.

“After 13 years, the CandE Benchmark Research Program continues to prove that positive candidate experiences lead to positive hiring outcomes, which also often have positive business implications, especially during such volatile economic times,” said Ron Machamer, CandE Program Director at ERE Media. “This year’s CandE Awards winners have again demonstrated their commitment to making impactful process improvements and we are delighted to recognize their work in raising the bar in recruitment and candidate experience.”
