10th ANNUAL MODERN FAMILY INDEX: NEW BRIGHT HORIZONS RESEARCH ON WORKING PARENTS

The new working parent

What’s changed about working and parenting in ten years? Turns out, the biggest change may be to parents themselves. The 10th Annual Modern Family Index charts a decade in the evolution of employees with children, showing a generation that’s moved far from the days where family challenges were things to be hidden, and who now openly advocate for their conflicts to be seen. Still, for all their boldness, responses from these rising leaders show there’s still work to do. “Even as the workplace tries to adjust philosophically,” reads the report, “practical parent support remains hard to come by.”
