Assistant Director of Admissions University of South Florida – College of Nursing
Student Success Coach DeVry University – Keller Graduate School
I started my educational journey with DeVry University. I always had a desire to work in education and while working at DeVry University, I developed a deeper passion for helping students and shaping the student experience.

Working at DeVry University, I had the opportunity to learn the administrative side of education from admission to graduation. I was able to work directly with the campus dean in coaching students academically and career tracking into the correct programs. After my time at DeVry, I joined the University of South Florida.

I began at USF as an academic advisor in the College of Nursing. I worked with those learners working towards their Bachelor of Science in Nursing, but also had opportunities to work with students at the pre-licensure freshmen stage, transfers, RN-BSN students and graduate level nursing programs. As academic services administrator for the undergraduate nursing programs, I worked directly with the associate dean of undergraduate programs in curriculum development, program planning and faculty affairs.

Later, as the assistant dean of admissions for undergraduate nursing programs, I oversaw the undergraduate nursing admission process for the university’s Bachelor programs for pre-licensure and post licensure students. I also worked with other health colleges to create a pathway for transfer students to apply into the school’s nursing programs. In this role, I also had the task of developing and launching a freshmen entry admission model for USF’s nursing programs.

It’s never too late to start your educational journey. The most difficult part is enrolling in your first class. Once you’re enrolled and complete your first class, you will get into a rhythm and before you know, graduation will be upon you.
