It's been more than 25 years since Linda Mason co-founded Bright Horizons, and the Massachusetts resident continues to make news.
Ms. Mason was featured prominently in this week's Boston Globe Magazine as one of 12 Bostonians Changing the World.A tireless humanitarian worker, the Belmont, Massachusetts resident has devoted boundless energy to numerous worldwide relief efforts, traveling the world, speaking out, and getting in the trenches to rebuild following disasters. Among her contributions: managing refugee camps on the Thai/Cambodian border for those fleeing the Khmer Rouge, volunteering alongside Mother Teresa in Calcutta, and giving voice to victims of atrocities in Darfur. And, she shows no sign of slowing down. Today, she continues her travels abroad and serves as board chairwoman of the worldwide humanitarian organization, Mercy Corps.
"Mason has become a luminary in humanitarian work," read the article. "When disaster calls ; and it frequently does - Mason often answers."
Congratulations, Linda Mason. We're proud of your accomplishments not only around the world, but back here at home where your compassion and forward thinking continues to impact thousands of employees every day.
