Fortune asked, and Bright Horizons employees answered. 

And the answer is — we’re on the list…

Every year, the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list polls employees to find out what makes a great place to work. 

“Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization,” reads the methodology. 

The remaining pieces we consider include an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of the company’s values, people’s ability to contribute new ideas, and the effectiveness of their leaders.”

So what’d our employees have to say? Only that they feel welcome, get to make a difference, and feel pride in what they do.  And let’s just say all those happy employees give us benefits. “No wonder rehires are now its No. 3 source for hiring,” wrote Fortune, “and turnover is half the industry average.” How’s that for ROI? 

As our CEO Stephen Kramer says, “We are a great company because our employees care about each other, believe in our mission and culture, and create inclusive workplaces that celebrate diversity.  

Fortune says the list is all about excellence. 

Around here, we just call it HEART (specifically honesty, excellence, accountability, respect, and teamwork).
